Assist in the storage, distribution, and redistribution of medical supplies and drugs to first aid sites, emergency shelters, and established hospital facilities as required. 3. Assure that appropriately trained medical personnel exist to respond to emergency and disaster situations. 4. Coordinate the medical assets responding to an emergency or a disaster scene. 5. Establish and maintain communication with local/regional hospitals. 6. Coordinate with regional medical providers that may respond to the emergency or disaster scene. 7. Provide triage, treatment, and transport of the injured at the emergency or disaster site. FWAC DOH will assist with triage and treatment when existing agencies are overwhelmed. 8. Deploy special response teams for disaster response. The TRAA/AMR maintains a Disaster Response Team (DRT) to set-up, staff, and operate the various sectors of a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI). The DRT also supports the FWPD Emergency Services Team (EST), the FWPD Bomb Squad, and the Fort Wayne-Allen County Hazardous Materials Team where medical services are required. 9. Arrange to secure the following Public Safety equipment: EMS ambulances and Medical helicopters |
